Sr. Network Engineer

The Senior Network Engineer is responsible for the maintenance and advanced level support of the  network environment. In addition, the incumbent will design and deploy basic to complex network solutions to meet both the current needs of the organization and long-term corporate and departmental strategic objectives. The qualified candidate must have excellent customer service and written/oral communication skills and must adhere to the policies and guidelines pertaining to incident response, request fulfillment and change management. The person in this position will also perform project management responsibilities on networking-related initiatives.

• Manager, Networking and Telecommunications

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, or a related field from an accredited college
• Minimum of seven years of satisfactory full-time experience in a networking or networking-related position
• Minimum of a Cisco CCNP Routing and Switching certification or equivalent
• ITIL Foundations certification
• Working knowledge of installing, configuring and troubleshooting Cisco Networking equipment (i.e. Nexus 2k, 5k, 7k, 9k, Catalyst 3750, Catalyst 3850, ASA Firewalls, Wireless LAN Controllers)
• Checkpoint Firewall, Sourcefire IPS, Websense, and F5 GTM/LTM/APM experience preferred
• Experienced in networking monitoring and troubleshooting utilizing SNMP, Netflow, Cisco Prime, PRTG, SolarWinds and Wireshark
• Ability to work quickly to resolve or minimize the impact of identified problems
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work independently while paying close attention to detail
