Senior Business Analyst – Transit Experience

Location: United States

The Senior Business Analyst is a direct hire opportunity.

 

The Business Analyst’s primary function is to work as a team with the Director of IT and other Business Analysts in providing oversight and direction to all transportation service operations in order to ensure that resources of the company are managed and coordinated in an efficient and professional manner to meet company objectives.  This position will include continual analysis of departmental systems for multiple transportation operations, with focus on adding value, improving operational performance, and creating processes improvement models for multiple types of transportation modes.  This position will assist in the field and on a remote basis providing technical support for technology and data systems when needed.    The following is a broad prospectus of the duties and responsibilities.

 

  • Functions as a team member with Director of IT, and other Business Analysts to perform root cause analysis of issues that may occur at the site level and assist team and business in developing strategies to improve the operations at all sites assigned to support.
  • Provides support for and serves as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the various Transportation Management Systems (TMS) technology (Trapeze, RouteMatch, StrataGen), including scheduling software, Mobile Data systems, IVR and notification systems, and Info-Suite products.  Own and define transit TMS roadmap for transforming the business operations through the IT solutions, both current and future.
  • Develops and maintains system reports for multiple transit locations based on operational needs and identified areas for monitoring.
  • Provides assistance for new transportation startups including, but not limited to, training of new staff both management and hourly, initiating quality controls and processes, and helping to assure a trouble free start up process.
  • Serves as project coordinator for implementation of vendor based technology solutions.  Formulate system scope and design objectives through research and fact finding to configure vendor maintained systems.

SQL Database Administrator (DBA)

Location: Cincinnati, OH

This is a direct hire opportunity.

 

Implement physical changes to databases; code and test SQL, applying knowledge of database management. Design logical and physical databases for datawarehouse (DW) systems. Review and evaluate description of changes to database designs. Communicate or direct communication of database changes to affected parties. Understand impact of database changes and make recommendations as appropriate. Consult with project managers to design appropriate solutions.

 

Also advanced technical experience in database administration, design, and data warehousing is required. Is highly skilled in software development lifecycle, problem solving, oral and written communications, teamwork, learning-on-the-fly, and desire to succeed. Must be able to handle multiple projects at one time and be very results-oriented. The candidate will be highly motivated and work well both independently and in a team environment.
The successful database administrator candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Clustering and breaking apart SQL and T-SQL Databases
  • Designs database backup and recovery strategies
  • Creates and enhances schemas
  • Manages deployments of database objects and structure changes to various environments
  • Establishes Data Access Policies, SQL Coding Standards, and Naming Conventions
  • Designs disk configurations for databases
  • Provides database server configurations and minimum server requirements
  • Monitors SQL and T-SQL database performance
  • Manages database projects for SQL Server platform upgrades and patches
  • Possesses excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Manages installations and configurations of database platforms
  • Supports ETL/BI Specialists and application developers
  • Mentors other DBA
  • Performs code reviews of SQL and T-SQL
  • Possess excellent leadership qualities
  • Keeps abreast of new technologies and suggests their application to systems where appropriate.

Compensation Analyst – CCP Preferred

Location: Cincinnati, OH

This is a contract to hire position.

 

Seeking a Compensation Analyst who will be instrumental in the development and ongoing administration, design, analysis and implementation of various compensation programs across the organization, including pay for performance, salary structure design and modeling, complex costing scenarios and incentive plans. The incumbent must establish and maintain effective processes and communication with the HR Shared Services and Payroll teams to administer all programs/plans.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities of the Compensation Analyst:

  • Continually develop, refine and execute/implement a compensation strategy that links pay and performance to the organizations evolving business strategy
  • Ensure executive compensation packages meet regulatory and governance requirements and are consistent with HR policies and business strategies
  • Oversee the design and re-design of incentive pay programs that maintain competitiveness and ensure alignment between pay and performance
  • Act as lead for compensation and interaction with the Sr. Management team
  • Financial Forecasting and Analysis
  • Oversee the compensation administration process including the planning and implementation of annual salary reviews
  • Keep abreast of trends in compensation packages and evaluate the viability and necessity of adopting such plans within the organization
  • Provide ongoing guidance to generalist teams related to compensation trends, analysis, benchmarking and other items that may arise
  • Create reporting and analysis of simple to moderate financial data to produce reports for senior management
  • Ensure that financial models for new benefits and compensation initiatives are accurately incorporated into the plan/forecast
  • Monitor, report and quantify performance metrics and corresponding financial implications for operations management
  • Facilitate annual merit and bonus planning, including Management and Non-Management programs
  • Create and deliver Total Reward Statements annually
  • Consult with Directors/Managers and Human Resources on issues pertaining all areas of compensation management.
  • Handle issues with typically large scope, higher levels of complexity, sensitivity and/or visibility with the organization.
  • Serve as a resource to explain compensation policy and systems.
  • Provide training on compensation related programs.
