SENIOR PATIENT ACCOUNT REPRESENTATIVE

What you will be doing as the Senior Patient Account Representative:  

  • Responsible for knowing Government Rules and Regulations. 

  • Responsible for Takebacks on Government payers and work until accounts have been repaid.

  • Prepare Provider OPS agenda and ensure accounts are being reviewed prior to and after meetings.

  • Responsible for Medicare and Managed Medicare rebill projects.

  • Responsible for Medicare overpayments.

  • Keep current on all updates and communicate to departments affected by any changes that will affect billing.

  • Check for unpaid claim status, either electronically or by phone.

  • Work with third party carriers or intermediaries.

  • Positive impact on department's cash collected, department's aging percentage, and department's Billing & Follow up WIP.

What you will need as the as the Senior Patient Account Representative:  

  • Associate/Bachelor degree or equivalent experience.

  • Epic experience is required.

  • Hospital Billing and Follow up experience is required.

  • Knowledge of claim processing for all major carriers and intermediaries.

  • Computer proficiency.

  • Organizational, Communication and Listening skills.
