What you will be doing as the Reimbursement Specialist:

• Responsible for preparation and filing of Medicare, Medicaid, and Champus cost reports for assigned Hospital entities.

• Work with internal/external groups to resolve reimbursement issues; act as primary resource for Medicare and Medicaid program evaluations and interpretations.

• Develop and document standardized and automated processes for annual reimbursement projects including, but not limited to, disproportionate share reporting, bad debts, HCAP filings and cost reports.

• Manage HCAP filings and audits with education and support for internal resources, external consultants and statewide auditors.

What you will need as the Reimbursement Specialist:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance

• Five years of experience in hospital and/or Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement

• Medicare Cost Report knowledge including bad debts, medical education, and disproportionate share.

• Proficiency in Excel
