procurement warranty specialist

What you will be doing as the Procurement Warranty Specialist:

  • Submission of warranty claims to vehicle manufactures on behalf of Company maintenance facilities.

  • Manages the warranty process in accordance with company policy and within the parameters established by the manufacturers. Claims need to be filed in a timely manner.

  • Performs periodic audits of Company maintenance systems to ensure claims are getting flagged for potential warranty. Reports discrepancies to the warranty director to modify the warranty agreements.

  • Identifies product deficiencies and failure trends and communicates this information to the Company Technical Department. Tracks TSR reports as they relate to warranty.

  • Maintains database of all warranty claims and their current status. Proper follow up with manufacturers on aged claims.

  • Work closely with Company maintenance staff (RMMs, Service Managers & TICs) to follow up on warranty questions and to gather additional information required to process claims in a timely manner.

  • Manage part return requests by the manufacturers. Follow up accordingly to ensure timely payment of claims and to avoid claim charge backs.

  • Ensure vehicle and warranty information is correct in the appropriate Company maintenance systems (WFA and Infor). Warranty start dates may need to be modified in the manufacturer’s systems.

  • Reconciliation of check or EFT reimbursements. Follow up on claims that were short-paid or rejected.

What you will need as the Procurement Warranty Specialist:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • Technical certifications are a plus.

  • 3-4 years of related experience necessary.

  • Vehicle warranty experience, fleet maintenance experience, vehicle parts experience required.

  • Strong communication skills; both verbal and written.

  • Strong computer skills including MS office products.

  • Strong problem solving skills.
