PATIENT ACCOUNT REPRESENTATIVE

What you will be doing as the Patient Account Representative:

• Account Management

• Check for unpaid claim status, either electronically or by phone.

• Work with third party carriers or intermediaries.

• Follow standard Operating Departmental Procedures to pursue prompt payment of Hospital claims for assigned financial classes and Payors.

• Positive impact on department's cash collected, department's aging percentage, and department's Billing & Follow up WIP.

• Report any payer billing issues/trends/delays to PAS and Manager.

What you will need as the Patient Account Representative:

• Associate/Bachelor degree or equivalent experience.

• Epic experience is required.

• Hospital Billing and Follow up experience is required.

• Knowledge of claim processing for all major carriers and intermediaries.

• Computer proficiency.

• Organizational, Communication and Listening skills.
