IT ASSET MANAGER

The IT Asset Manager is responsible for developing and managing processes used to administer the procurement, inventory management and licensing compliance for IT hardware and software assets. The candidate will provide expertise and support for software license management and compliance efforts concerning risk reduction and assurance of cost savings.

The IT Asset Manager will also be responsible for staying up to date on changes to vendor licensing models and metrics. The person in this role will also conduct research to ensure the company keeps current with ever-changing technology and information in the field of software licensing and compliance.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING:

• A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field or its business equivalent of asset management experience
• IT asset management experience
• Certified Hardware Asset Management Professional (CHAMP) certification
• Certified Software Asset Management (CSAM) certification
• Knowledge of software asset management principles and practices
• Knowledge of ISO 19770-1
• Strong quantitative, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to accumulate, organize and assimilate large amounts of information
• Proficiency of hardware technology and configurations including virtualization
• Ability to take initiative and be self-motivated
• Experience with Microsoft Office 365 preferred
• An understanding of the vast differences in software vendor licensing and the specific details around hardware, platform and usage needs
• Experience with vendor software audits
