What you will be doing as the Enterprise Program Manager (EPMO):
Responsible for program management governance and project management activities for several concurrent projects within the Company's practice with project duration from a few weeks to up to 12 months.
Provide administrative oversight for all major projects within the Operations Area and responsible for project management activities for many of the projects.
Create recurring Governance Committee update decks and present to the committee for Operations Project status updates and roadmap.
Create weekly Operations Program Status updates and forward as appropriate to all stakeholders.
Manage Operations program level logs (issues, tasks, decisions and risks).
Work independently to draft project plan, project deliverables and resource requirements.
Work independently to drive execution of project tasks with escalation when required.
Coordinate and lead weekly project status update meetings with core team members.
What you will need as the Enterprise Program Manager (EPMO):
Bachelor’s degree preferably in computer science or management information systems or equivalent experience.
Project Management certification a plus.
Five or more years of successful program and project management experience directly related to Operations.
5+ years’ experience with managing concurrent and complex projects.
Experience managing Operations implementations, and upgrades with emphasis on the Transportation industry.
Experience with project management methodologies, creating project estimates and plans.
Strong understanding and experience with project management documentation and creation of project deliverables.
Experience in creating business requirements plans.
Experience in creating and managing test plans.
Experience within in a weak-matrixed organization with the ability to establish relationships at all levels of an organization.
Experience coordinating activities with third party suppliers.
Proficient with Microsoft Project.
Proficient with Microsoft Excel.
Understanding of project management methodologies and best practices (Prince2, PMBOK, ITIL, SDLC, Agile, etc).
