What you will be doing as the Director of Revenue Cycle:
Evaluate, recommend, and implement a redesigned process to create efficiencies at all sites and maintain optimal revenue cycle organizational structure.
Develop comprehensive understanding of software systems, processes, and payer-specific reimbursement mechanisms and billing requirements to enable proactive identification of opportunities for revenue cycle improvement and enhancement.
Establish and implement benchmark metrics to monitor revenue cycle trends and report to executive leadership. Assess, propose, and employ standardized procedures and educational programs across the patient intake/registration and collection process.
Design analytical tools for monthly revenue review, reporting, and strategic business decisions – including dashboard reporting to ensure timely posting of charges and payments.
Ensure timely collection of all monies due.
Provide accurate and legal billing to all applicable parties.
Maintain billing system with all current contractual and/or government allowable rates, as well as ongoing maintenance to remain complaint with changing billing requirements.
Maintain charge master, annual reviews, recommends changes and updates.
Manage a team of multiple functions within billing offices.
Monitor physician utilization of CPT codes compared to CMS norms to ensure compliance and optimize reimbursement.
Oversee monthly AR close process, including timely reporting, error checking, and balancing of transactions.
Properly report all required CMS quality measures.
What you will need as the Director of Revenue Cycle:
Master of Business Administration or Master of Health Administration
Experience with resolving internal and external operational issues and compliance issues with third-party payors
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
10 years of related experience including: At least 4 years of revenue cycle and third party payor contract management and Supervisory experience in a complex organization
Excellent computer skills required
Experience utilizing an Electronic Health Records system- NextGen experience highly preferred
