DATA ARCHITECT

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop and implement strategic recommendations for the company’s Data Architecture
User Database, ETL Tools, Data Warehouse, BI Tools, AI, CA
Provide insight into the changing database storage and utilization requirements
Development, Capacity, and Lifecycle Management
Incident Management
Troubleshoot and resolve issues reported by customers (internal/external)
Provide Root Cause to management using documented company procedures when requested
Change Management
Follow company procedures and effectively communicate all scheduled changes for the business
Security Compliance of all Data and Tools throughout the entire process and program
Provide strategies and solutions for proactive monitoring of databases and transaction processing environments
Develop database design and architecture documentation for the business

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING:

Solid hands on experience with following databases
- MSSQL, MYSQL, Oracle, DB2/400, PostgreSQL
Experience with BI reporting and Visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Qlik
Multiple Operating System Experience (Linux, MS Windows, IBM AS/400)
Experience with Data Warehouse principles and methodologies (Kimball, Inmon, Data Lake)
Tools and Utilities: PowerShell, SQL Loader, Stored Procedures, Triggers, VMware
Proven troubleshooting and problem solving skills
Knowledge of C, C#, ASP.Net
Proven ability to work with distributed systems
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
7+ Years of Data Architect Experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent project management skills
