What you will be doing as the Underpayment Specialist:

• Review technical denials within the Payor Performance Unit.

• Identify trending items.

• Work with Payor Representatives to resolve large scale denial issues.

• Performs denial appeal process.

• Focuses on recouping denied reimbursement.

• Work Epic WQ’s as assigned.

• Meet department Productivity, Quality and Cash Collection performance standards.

• Maintains thorough understanding of Payor appeal regulations and guidelines.

What you will need as the Underpayment Specialist:

• Associate's degree or equivalent experience.

• 1+ year of experience within denials.

• Must have phone skills.

• Experience within a customer service role.

• Ability to navigate dual monitors.
